First thing you should know is that, as shocking as this might be, Kissy Lovestuff is not my real name.
It is a nom de plume, merci beaucoup.

So why do I use it?
Well, for one, it is a name my husband once made up for me and it sort of just stuck.
And, for two, I am more comfortable when I am not presented as myself on the world wide platform.  I write more freely, I'm more open. In other words and ironically, I am more myself when I am someone else.
For three, it should be my real name because it perfectly and succinctly captures the
essence - the je nais se quoi - of who I am. Think silly, fun, quirky.
For four, I don't necessarily love being found by everyone I've ever known. In the past, this has burned me so being Kissy adds another layer that someone would have to get through to get to me. I don't concern myself with being found out; if it happens, it happens.
If you don't already have a fake name, I recommend trying it.  It's a terrific way to step outside the boundaries which is something I very highly recommend doing on a very regular basis.
